Summary
On the 25th of June 2024, approximately at 14:34 hours, the Portuguese flagged vessel JOLLY BLUE was made fast, port side alongside, at port of Rades, in Tunis, Tunisia,
under cargo operations. During heaving up of one forward spring line, at 15:34 hours, the mooring line parted and hit two crew members of a team of five who were performing
maintenance tasks at the forward mooring station. One crew member, an able seaman Ukraine national, suffered a fatal injury and one crew member, ordinary seaman,
Ukrainian national, sustain less serious injuries. Port emergency services were requested, and medical assistance was provided.
